The Dudhkumar is a transboundary river in the northwestern region Bangladesh, flowing parallel to the Teesta and Dharla. It originates in the Chumbi Valley of Tibet and is named after the Indian Raidak or Mankosh River after entering Bangladesh through Shilkhuri Union of Bhurungamari Upazila of Kurigram district. The Shilkhuri Union part of the river in Bhurungamari Upazila is locally called Kaljani. Most of the main course of the Dudhkumar is in India. The river flows through India for a large part of its main course before joining the Brahmaputra/Jamuna River in Kaliganj Union of Nageshwari Upazila of Kurigram district. It is a perennial river and overflows its banks during the monsoon season. The Dudhkumar is prone to flash floods and extensive erosion.
